Merchandising Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly established company in the grain storage and merchandising industry. Backed by Pinnacle Asset Management, a $4B asset management firm, Viserion Grain acquired 9 grain storage and barge loading facilities along the Mississippi River in July of 2021. With this acquisition, Viserion Grain has over $1B in annual revenue. The company’s corporate office in Denver, Colorado.

This position is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to Trader(s) and outside counterparties. The position also works closely with the company’s financial accounting staff. The position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the full cycle of the trade process from contract entry to settlement and related support to customers and suppliers.

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experience. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $68,000 - $75,000 , with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, this positoin is incentive eligible.

• Verify contracts details for accuracy and enter contracts into the system
• Verify shipment details for accuracy and enter shipments into the system
• Setting up associated payable and receivables
• Collect accounts receivable
• Apply cash received in the system
• Review and pay vendor invoices
• Provide logistics support as needed
• Provide customer service in resolving accounting inquiries.
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Utilize computer programs, including accounting software, proprietary trading software, and Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• 2-year or 4-year degree preferred, but not required
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar administrative role
• Preferably, experience in the grain trading industry, or other trading or logistics industries
• General knowledge of accounting processes and ability to reconcile information.
