Overview

Primary responsibility is the repair and maintenance of facility equipment.

Responsibilities

  • • Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently.
    • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
    • Use tools ranging from hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
    • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
    • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
    • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
    • Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, forklifts, hand tools, and power tools.
    • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
    • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to perform repairs and fabrication.
    • Know and understand all facets of Viserion’s safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices and has the ability to notify operations of safety alarms.
    • Responsible for properly and accurately recording all applicable documentation.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Two- four (2-4) years of maintenance experience is preferred.

Skills

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
  • Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment.

Physical Requirments

  • Regularly walk, bend and stoop.
  • Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Regularly climbs stairs and ladders.
  • Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly enters and works in confined spaces.
