Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to lead our talent acquisition & employee development. This person will oversee the full talent lifecycle — from attracting and recruiting top talent, to developing and growing our people. This leader will design and execute strategies that ensure we bring in exceptional talent, while also providing opportunities for employees to learn, grow, and succeed within our organization.

 

In addition to leading the talent acquisition team, this role will build scalable development programs, facilitate training, and ensure that the candidate and employee experience is engaging and aligned with our culture and business goals.

 

The position could be located in Boulder CO, Kansas City MO, Visalia CA, or remote for the right candidate. 

Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Strategic Recruiting: Lead and participate in full-cycle recruiting for key and senior-level positions. Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Employer Branding: Build and promote our employer brand across career sites, social media, and industry channels to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Internal Mobility: Design programs to promote and facilitate internal career growth and movement across the organization.
  • Talent Acquisition Operations & Analytics: Streamline recruiting processes, leverage ATS and HR technology, and use analytics to measure and improve efficiency, quality of hire, and time-to-fill.
  • Onboarding: Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver a seamless and engaging onboarding experience.
  • Temp, Intern & Trainee Programs: Oversee temporary workforce management and create robust internship and trainee programs to build future pipelines.
  • Pipeline Development: Proactively develop relationships with external talent pools and networks to maintain a strong pipeline for critical roles.
  • Budget Ownership: Manage the talent acquisition budget, ensuring efficient use of resources, technology, and vendors.
  • Candidate Experience: Continuously improve the recruiting process to deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.

Talent Development

  • Training Facilitation: Design, coordinate, and facilitate training sessions on leadership, professional development, and core skills.
  • Learning Programs: Create and implement scalable learning programs and development initiatives that support employee growth, engagement, and career progression.
  • Individual Development Plans: Partner with leaders and HR to support employee development planning and ensure access to resources for growth.
  • Learning Culture: Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization.
  • Performance Enablement: Collaborate with HRBPs and managers to strengthen feedback, coaching, and development conversations.
  • Succession Planning: In Partnership with HRBPs, support efforts to identify and prepare high-potential talent for future leadership roles.
  • 360 Feedback: Lead the design, facilitation, and execution of the company’s 360 feedback process, ensuring feedback is delivered constructively and used to guide employee development.

Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of recruiters and eventually learning and development professionals.
  • Collaborate across the HR function and business leaders to ensure talent strategies align with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing hands-on execution with strategic vision.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience designing and executing scalable recruiting programs.
  • Strong understanding of employer branding, sourcing strategies, and candidate engagement.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure success.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Passion for candidate experience and a commitment to creating an inclusive environment.
  • Experience building and facilitating training or employee development programs.
  • Experience leading 360 feedback processes and translating feedback into actionable development plans.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
  • Commitment to inclusion in all aspects of talent strategy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growing organization.

Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or commodity-based industries.
  • Certification in learning, training, or HR (e.g., ATD, SHRM, HRCI).
  • Familiarity with succession planning and leadership development frameworks.
  • Experience utilizing Predictive Index

Physical Requirments

  • This job is primarily sedentary.
  • Occasional lifting may be required of up to 15lbs.
  • This role may require occasional travel.
